Orana, the Adelaide based restaurant, awarded Restaurant of the Year in The Good Food Guide 2019, is in Sydney for a month-long residency.
Eclipse Handcrafted Furniture have supplied the gorgeous custom made blackbutt furniture exclusively for this event.
The three-hatted dining experience headed by award winning chef, Jock Zonfrillo, will be showcasing a diverse range of native ingredients and flavours from August 16 until September 15.
Diners can expect to experience more than 50 unique taste sensations from Australia's coastline, land and waters at Orana's Sydney residency.
"We'll be using a lot of amazing ingredients from NSW including Dorrigo pepper, macadamia nuts, and Moreton Bay fig shoots."
Orana's native timber tables, with their distinctively charred legs evoke feelings of a fire-ravaged landscape, handcrafted by Sydney based, Wagga manufactured company Eclipse Furniture.
Australian Blackbutt or Eucalyptus Pilularis - a large indigenous hardwood growing in abundance in the coastal forests of New South Wales and Queensland was used to compliment the restaurants Australiana theme.
In the dining room, the smells of native ingredients emanating from the kitchen are mirrored by those coming from above. Boughs of dried native flora hang over each hardwood table, casting landscape-evoking shadows across the newly painted ochre-coloured walls and custom furniture - it truly is an experience of all the senses.
Orana in Residence will run for one month from August 16 until September 15 and will serve lunch Thursday to Sunday and dinner Tuesday through Sunday. Bookings will be made available at restaurantorana.com from 9am, July 9.
